Welcome to our version of the H-Sphere frequently asked questions. The purpose of this document is to try and clear up some of the myths about the H-Sphere web hosting automation control panel from Positive Software Coporation.
What is H-Sphere?
H-Sphere is a web hosting automation control panel. It's purpose is to try to make life easier for the end user and the web host when dealing with servers and their configurations. Due to the assistance that H-Sphere provides the host and end users, the user can have the piece of mind knowing that the servers are being configured properly and the chance of human error is very limited when configuration changes are made.
What makes H-Sphere different from other control panels?
One of the biggest things that makes H-Sphere different is the fact that it allows the host to cluster their servers. What this means to the end user is the piece of mind of knowing that your email and web site are not necessarily based on the same server and the same server hardware. This allows a little bit of added security knowing that if the server running your website crashes then, depending on the hosts configuration, your email may still be online and working.
I heard H-Sphere was hard to use. Is that true?
While at the first glance it may seem that H-Sphere is harder to use then other control panels, that is not always the case. H-Sphere is more complex then other control panels as it has built in billing and support which is unlike most other control panel's. This makes it appear more complex to the end user then it really is. The nice thing about H-Sphere is that Psoft has provided excellent documentation on the system for end users and resellers.
